Required for
using WiFi at
Home
It's
simple -
Here's
all you
need:
Broadband
Internet
Access
Cable or
DSL
A
Wireless
Router

Wireless
Routers
available
at most
home electronics
or
computer
stores
For some devices
like the
Acoustic Energy
WiFi Radio
need an adapter
cable with a
mini plug (like
Walkman or iPod
headphone jack)
to plug into the
radio output
(headphone
jack), with
stereo RCA jacks
(usually red and
white) on the
other end to
plug into the
Left and Right
auxiliary inputs
on your stereo.
This same cord
will work with
your laptop
computer. Plug
the mini
(headphone) plug
into the
headphone/speaker
jack on your
laptop and plug
the other end
into the Left
and Right
auxiliary inputs
on your stereo.
Another way to
play
MartiniInTheMorning.com
from your
computer is to
use a wireless
transmitter like
Apple's
Airport Express
shown below.
Listen to
MartiniInTheMorning.com
through
Apple's iTunes
Store with
the Airport
Express
connected to
your home
stereo.
iTunes will
use your
wireless network
(the WiFi router
connected to
your Cable or
DSL modem) to
send the audio
from your
computer,
wherever it is
in your home, to
your stereo.

For the Roku
Soundbridge,
you'll need an
adapter cable
with RCA jacks
on both ends
MartiniInTheMorning.com
in your
CAR!
If you have a phone
like mine, the one
to the left, AND a
cassette tape player
in your car or at
home, you can use
one of these (click
to enlarge):

Plug the mini plug
into the headphone
jack on your phone
and insert the
cassette adapter
just as if you were
playing a cassette
tape and voila,
MartiniInTheMorning.com!
Many newer cars now
have an "iPod"
jack in the sound
system. The same
cables that will
connect an iPod
or other
portable music/MP3
player to your car's
audio system will do
the same with a
mobile phone.
