Music:
Anything on MITM, classic blues and rock, gospel bluegrass on Sunday mornings during the drive to church, some classical, and anything either of our sons plays on guitar...not on the radio.

I listen to music all day, every day. Music is such an integral part of everyone's psyche...and is always the first ingredient when preparing and serving a meal at our home.

A friend of mine once said, "If everyone was given and taught to play a banjo when they were born, there would be no war." I think he might be right!

Films/Television:
Movies: Probably most stuff by Robert Altman, Spielberg, Woody Allen, Sydney Pollack, Scorsese, Hitchcock, Capra, Ford, and of course, anything where a helicopter blows up in the first two minutes of the film! "Now, that's ENTERTAINMENT!" (...mmmm, that sounds strangely familiar...)

TV: Most b/w 'series', 24, Saving Grace, Glenn Beck, Mad Money, Travel Channel, Food Network, and most 'watchable' sports.

"I started off with nothing, and I still have most of it left"

I am an early '50's vintage from NY state and was matured there until 1967. I remember listening to most of the music we all love on an old Philco or Emerson 'monaural' console am radio/wire recorder/phonograph in our home in Floral Park, NY. Moved to Cincinnati*, Ohio and that is where I met Sandy about 6 years later. We were married in 1975 and we waited 10 years to have kids. We spent those first 10 years figuring ourselves and each other out, working, doing school, traveling, and establishing a stable household/income. We had our first son, Brennan in 1986. Shortly thereafter, we decided to raise our family in 'a small college town' and moved to Auburn, Alabama in 1988. Our second son, Patrick was born in 1989. I co-own and manage a pediatric clinic in Montgomery, AL, am involved in real estate (yes...pray for me...) and have my finger in a couple of other things... Sandy home schooled both boys all the way through high school and is now a retired teacher (without the state benefits...). I love to travel, cook, collect (and drink) wines, tinker with computers (since '79 or '80), am referred to as 'Mr. Gadget' by most of my non-geek friends, enjoy a good nap, and love to laugh at myself and with all of you!

Oh, and I almost forgot....WAR EAGLE!

I have to add this story...
(*) I remember my dad had 'a company car' in the late '60's with an under-dash cassette player/recorder that he could use to dictate into as he drove...BUT it also played stereo cassettes...I still have it somewhere...Frank Sinatra's 'That's Life.' I think that was my first 'STEREOPHONIC' introduction to this great music.

Now That's MUSIC! Thanks, Dad!
